About Brockenhurst
Welcome to Brockenhurst
Brockenhurst is a charming village set right in the heart of the New Forest National Park in Hampshire, England. Known for its peaceful atmosphere, free-roaming ponies and donkeys, and beautiful woodlands, it’s a favourite destination for nature lovers, walkers, cyclists, and those seeking a relaxing countryside escape.

A village where animals roam free
One of the most unique sights in Brockenhurst is the New Forest ponies, donkeys, and cattle wandering freely through the village and across the common land. They're part of daily life here—often spotted crossing roads, grazing outside shops, or relaxing on village greens.
Please remember: admire from a distance and don’t touch or feed them! This is now illegal within the forest.
