About Us
Paulina has been a resident of Brockenhurst since 2005. From the very first moment she arrived she fell in love" with the village charm, the residents and the New Forest National Park, calling it "a paradise on earth".
Paulina started her journey with hospitality by studying tourism and recreation at university in Poland. She then went on to manage hotels in Poland and Greece before arriving in the UK to run the Forest Park Hotel here in Brockenhurst as deputy manager for 4 years. She moved on to be the general manager of the Thatched Cottage Hotel for 2 years and after that general manager of Cottage Lodge Hotel for 11 years until after lock down. Since 2020 she has found success managing her own professional cleaning company.
Bruno moved to the village to join Paulina in 2015 from a hotel on a beautiful Brownsea Island, in Dorset, where he was a manager and in 2016 opened Bruno's Restaurant. Prior to that he worked in the north and south of the UK, Portugal and Mozambique in the southern Africa, gaining international experience and culture. Together they form a great partnership and in December 2024 when the opportunity came along to have their own guest house, something that they had both always dreamt of, it was an obvious choice.
Together with their two boys Joshua 15 and Noah 6, they decided to take up the challenge and open their own family business, naming it Oak Tree Rooms after the popular, majestic trees found within the New Forest National Park.
Paulina, Bruno and the boys all love living here in Brockenhurst and enjoy being part of the wonderful community. Both boys attend local schools and are also helping with the family business. As all four of them agree " it's a family business, and it’s teamwork that makes it work!" They are very passionate about their new business, love where they live and are very proud to be able to share it with you.
